PROGRAM · SLUSHMAKES · approx. 5 glasses

Ingredients

approx. 1.4 L
Adjust amount
  • 700 g watermelon (seeded, diced)
  • 12 fresh basil leaves
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 tbsp honey or agave syrup
  • 200 ml cold water
  • 1 pinch of salt

Preparation

  1. 1Blend the seeded, diced watermelon with the basil leaves until smooth and pass through a sieve.
  2. 2Add the lime juice, honey, cold water and pinch of salt and stir well until the honey has dissolved.
  3. 3Pour the mixture into the machine and start the slush mode.
  4. 4Pour the finished slush into tall glasses and garnish with a piece of melon and a basil leaf side by side.
Tip

Watermelon is naturally sweet - so you only need a little extra honey for the slush to freeze nice and creamy. Blend the basil only briefly, otherwise it turns bitter.

Variation

Toss in a few strawberries and the slush turns even fruitier and deep red.
