PROGRAM · SLUSHMAKES · approx. 5 glasses

Ingredients

approx. 1.4 L
Adjust amount
  • 1 L tonic water (sweetened, not light)
  • 120 ml fresh lime juice
  • 150 ml water
  • 100 g sugar

Preparation

  1. 1Let the tonic water sit for a bit so the fizz escapes.
  2. 2Stir together the tonic water, fresh lime juice, water and sugar until the sugar has dissolved.
  3. 3Pour the mix into the machine.
  4. 4Start the slush mode.
  5. 5Pour into chilled glasses and serve.
Tip

Tonic water has less sugar than classic sodas, so definitely add the extra sugar — otherwise the mix won't freeze properly. Let the tonic sit for a bit first so the fizz escapes.

Variation

Add a few slices of fresh cucumber to the mix and the slush turns crisp and refreshing, like an alcohol-free gin and tonic.
