PROGRAM · SLUSHMAKES · approx. 5 glasses

Ingredients

approx. 1.4 L
Adjust amount
  • 150 ml beetroot juice
  • 250 g mixed berries (raspberries, blueberries, blackberries)
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 4 tbsp honey or agave syrup
  • 300 ml apple juice
  • 250 ml cold water

Preparation

  1. 1Finely purée the mixed berries with the beetroot juice and pass through a sieve to remove the seeds.
  2. 2Stir the purée with the apple juice, cold water, lemon juice and the honey or agave syrup until the sweetness has fully dissolved.
  3. 3Pour the mixture into the machine and start the slush mode.
  4. 4Pour the finished slush into tall glasses.
  5. 5Garnish each glass with a fresh berry on the rim and serve.
Tip

The berries bring sweetness and colour and cover the earthy taste of the beetroot. Apple juice and honey provide the sweetness needed so the slush doesn't freeze rock hard.

Variation

With frozen berries instead of fresh, the slush gets an even more intense colour.
