Ingredients
approx. 1.4 LAdjust amount
- 900 ml almond milk (unsweetened)
- 130 g sugar
- 300 ml water
- 1 tsp almond extract (or a little bitter almond)
- 1 pinch of salt
Preparation
- 1Warm the sugar with the water and pinch of salt, stirring until the sugar has completely dissolved, then let it cool completely.
- 2Stir in the unsweetened almond milk and the almond extract and mix well.
- 3Pour the mixture into the machine and start the slush mode until a coarse crystal texture forms.
- 4Fill the granita into tumbler glasses, keeping its typical crystalline consistency.
- 5Garnish with a few whole almonds and serve right away.
Tip
Dissolve the sugar in the warm water first, then mix with the cold almond milk. Go easy on the bitter almond - a little goes a long way.
Variation
A handful of toasted flaked almonds as a topping for extra crunch.
